“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.” –Marianne Williamson
Ponder this quote for a moment. What does it mean to you? Do you have a certain response or feeling to it after reading it? What was it? Focus on this feeling or response you had to this quote and contemplate it for a few minutes without judgement about the quote or your response being good or bad. You may feel inadequacy, inspiration, anger, calm. Just examine it peacefully and without judgement.
Hopefully this quote and the exercise of assessing your response to it, can give you a deeper sense of where you are emotionally and spiritually. There are no good or bad responses to this quote. There are just responses. Yet, these responses can be examined to become more present and consciously aware of who we are in the moment and what we are truly feeling. Our emotions that we think we are feeling, sometimes are just cover ups. Just examine how you feel and your response to this quote consciously and calmly.
Many people use meditation to try and consciously examine their feelings, emotions, and thoughts in the present moment, however, here I have used a powerful quote by author Marianne Williamson as a way for us to gain a deeper understanding of who we are and how we are experiencing emotion and thought.
Namaste. Peace, love, and prosperity to all.
